Statement of Purpose To fulfill God's call on Israel as His 'Chosen Nation' to be a light to the Nations; To gather together, encourage, and facilitate the sending out of teams of Israelis to the Nations, specifically those with large Jewish communities; To take the Word of the Lord to those who do not yet know YESHUA as their Messiah - To the Jew first and also to the Gentiles; To encourage the Church to fulfill God’s call to the Gentiles to assist in the physical and spiritual ingathering of the Jewish people.WHY OUT OF ZION ? ISRAEL'S CALL : It was always Israel's calling to be a light to the Nations. Israel received this call at Mt Sinai. " You shall be a Kingdom of Priests - a Holy Nation "(Ex19:6) Actually, it goes right back to the time of the Lord’s covenant with Abraham - "And in your seed all of the nations of the earth shall be blessed". (Gen 12:3, 22:18, 28:14 The final words of Yeshua (Jesus) before He ascended to Heaven were to his Jewish disciples " go ye into all the World". (Mk16:15) The apostles of the early Church fulfilled this call and the Gospel went forth from Zion. However as Rome embraced Christianity and began to impose their doctrines, the Jewish believers found it increasingly difficult to remain in the Church and their numbers dwindled away. Thus the calling lay dormant for the next 1900 years. Then in 1948, the Lord resurrected the also dormant nation of Israel and once again Jewish believers began to dwell in the Land of their forefathers.It was always Israel's calling to be a light to the Nations. As Jerusalem was reunited in 1967, it sparked a return to faith in Jesus as Messiah for a significant number of Jewish people, a trend which has continued and increased. Today in Israel there are now more than
80 indigenous Messianic congregations and
somewhere in the
vicinity of 5000 Jewish Believers, a phenomenon unseen since the days of Paul
and a fulfillment of prophecy. The Israeli Body was 30 years old in
1997 and we at Out of Zion Ministries believe that it is no coincidence that the vision
for this ministry was received in 1997. Yeshua was 30 years old when His ministry began,
as was Joseph, and we believe that NOW is the time for the Israeli believers to
rise up and fulfill their calling and once again take the Word of the Lord out from Zion.

Through this all the nations of the earth will be truly blessed.
THE HARVEST IS RIPE: Since
the demise of communism in 1989 many ministries have been actively taking the Gospel
to the people of the former Soviet Union. But how many of these ministries have had a
real revelation of Romans 1:16 ?. For I am not
ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to
salvation, for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the
Greek. founder and director, David Silver has
participated
in 7 out-reaches to the Jews of the former USSR. The scripture that inspired
David to turn his attention towards the Jews of the CIS was Jer 3:12
"Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: Return, O back-sliding
Israel, says the LORD, I will not cause My anger to fall on you.
For
I am merciful, says the LORD; I will not remain angry forever . During his times in the CIS, David witnessed
first-hand, the size of the harvest-field, the harshness of the
continent and the practical difficulties of the task. While teaching at
a Bible School in Murmansk, David saw
the 35 students he was speaking to, as potential co-workers in the massive harvest-field of
the Ministry in Moscow C.I.S. If he could impart his vision to
them and they go out and also pass the vision on and so forth, then the
multiplication of harvesters would be as
The Lord desires, and then the possibility of
reaching every last corner of the CIS could become real, to
the
Jews
first and also to the Gentiles. ( Rom 1:16 ) We at Out of Zion believe that the Lord desires
that the Church give priority to evangelism of the Jewish people in their locality. To
confirm this, The Lord took David to Isaiah 49:22 - .

Thus says the Lord Bishkek (Kyrgestan) Festival April 1999 OUT OF ZION’S MISSION : The initial vision for Out of Zion remains the same - that is to bring the Jewish people to their God and Messiah. By enlisting the Church’s assistance, the task will be much more attainable. Romans 11 speaks about a mystery. David is now sensing a strong call to divide his time between direct involvement in Jewish evangelism, and bringing to the Church, the revelation of the mystery of Ephesians 2 and Romans 11. He believes that this understanding must be returned to the Church as a preparation for the return of the Lord who is coming back for His Bride, Jews and Gentiles - One New Man. The initial vision for Out of Zion remains the same - that is to bring the Jewish people to their God and Messiah. By enlisting the Church’s assistance, the task will be much more attainable. Romans 11 speaks about a mystery. THE MYSTERY OF THE OLIVE TREE: According to Ephesians 2:11-19, God sees everyone who believes in the Jewish Messiah (Jesus), as a fellow citizen, grafted into the Olive Tree which represents Israel (Rom 11:11-25). Is it not natural then, for such a person to take a personal interest in God’s plans for Israel and His desired relationship between Israel and His Church ? David uses the parable of the prodigal son to show how the Gentile part of the of the Father’s family have been dwelling with Him for the last 1900 years, while the prodigals, the Jewish part, have been out there in the world, lost and hurting. How it will bring joy to the Father’s heart to see the Gentile family going out in search of their lost Jewish brothers and sisters. To see them extend a loving arm to gently lift the prodigals out of the pit they are in and lovingly tell them that the Lord still loves them and has already provided a Saviour. He is waiting to forgive them and to see them come home. What a day that will be ! He will cover them with His robe (of righteousness) and kill the fatted lamb in preparation for the feast of all feasts . The great marriage supper of the Lamb. As the Gentiles begin to fulfill their calling to provoke the Natural branches to jealousy, large numbers of Jewish people will be grafted back into the Olive Tree. According to Rom 11 and Eph 2, as Jew and Gentile worship the God of Israel as One New Man, it will mean nothing less than LIFE FROM THE DEAD - REVIVAL for ALL. - Behold I will lift my hand in an oath to the nations; and set up my standard
for the by ministries like Exobus and
Ebenezer, who
are physically bringing home the sons and daughters of Israel, but they also need to be
brought home spiritually. A further confirmation of this is - Romans 11:11
which says that
Israel
has stumbled so that salvation may come to the Gentiles, in order for the Jewish
people to be provoked to jealousy.
